How to save environment with Durasweeper?

In today’s day and age, where there is a scarcity of fossil fuels, an increase in pollution, and global warming, we should consider taking steps that are fuel-efficient. By doing so, we can help reduce the damage that is being done on our environment. We are destroying our environment every day little by little by smoking, driving vehicles that are not fuel efficient, ruining our cars, wasting precious energy, not implementing the knowledge we know about environmental protection, etc.

Especially in the case of heavy-duty vehicles, the amount of fuel consumption is even higher (affecting both the environment and the cash flow). Although, companies try to ignore both of the issues and keep moving in the path.

How heavy duty trucks weight during a winter season affects fuel consumption and CO2?

EU member states are committed to low carbon efforts. Heavy truck industry is putting emphasis on driving innovations and finding new solutions for fuel efficiency, safety, and comfort of the trucks. Material technology, processing technology, and design technology can help the heavy truck industry to achieve lighter weight and more sustainable heavy-duty trucks.

Following EU climate and energy regulations the industry is under the pressure to reduce CO2 emission.  Heavy-duty vehicles today cause around a quarter of road transport CO2 emissions and around 6% of the EU’s total CO2 emissions. Transport is the only sector in EU that did not record a significant decline in greenhouse gas emissions since 1990.

In March 2018 the European Parliament made a provisional agreement to monitor emissions and fuel consumption from heavy-duty vehicles. The European body said it would work on agreements to monitor emissions of carbon dioxide, a potent greenhouse gas, and consumption from trucks, buses, and coaches. It’s the first effort ever made in the European Union for those type of vehicles.

If no improvements are made to the global fleet of heavy trucks, oil demand from the sector will account for about 40 % of the projected 2050 total demand growth. The Commission proposed a regulation setting the first ever CO2 emission performance standards for new heavy-duty vehicles. The average CO2 emissions from new trucks in 2025 would have to be 15 % lower than in 2019. For 2030, the proposal sets an indicative reduction target of at least 30 % compared to 2019.

The European Parliament also called for further measures and best practices stimulating market uptake of the most efficient heavy-duty vehicles and promoting fuel efficiency.

Durasweeper’s solution is an innovative system for decreasing fuel consumption for heavy-duty trucks

During the winter season in heavy snow regions, snow accumulation on the roof of heavy-duty vehicle contributes to an increase of fuel consumption and naturally increase in CO2. The added weight can be significant. The load of the snow on the top of a vehicle can decrease fuel efficiency from 2% to 8%. The more weight a truck carries, the more fuel it consumes. For example, a layer if snow around 15 cm in length,13.6cm width and 2.5cm would weight app. 765 kg. That is nearly one ton of extra load that a truck carries if not cleaned off. Hence it’s important to find an efficient solution of snow removal from the rooftop of trucks.

Durasweeper ’s snow cleaning system from the top roof of commercial vehicles is an effective solution in saving fuel and protecting the environment. It’s also the fastest and the most efficient solution available in the market.
